The Huffington Post reports that over 100 journalists and singers performed dozens of political parodies at the 126th annual Gridiron Club Dinner. Very ironically the journalists barred any media coverage of the onstage performances, but the Post provides the lyrics of all the songs. Many of the songs demonstrate the power of adapting existing wellknown songs for political campaigns and issues. For example a Sarah Palin character singing, to the tune of The Impossible Dream

To fight for the right
And to lay waste the left

Without knowledge or heft.
